Our next trip is going to be something special! We are going on our first cruise since well before Covid, and doing so with four other couples. Three of the couples are wine friends from Camarillo, CA; Mark and Kathie, Ed and Diane, and Mike and Mindy. The last couple are Tony and Julie, also very into wine, from Capitola, CA, near Santa Cruz. I used to work with Tony at the Port of Oakland, until he retired so he could live his dream and work for the SF Bay Ferry service.
The cruise is with Oceania, and we love this cruise line, having been on two prior cruises with them (Italy and Alaska). The cruise starts in Southampton, near London, and ends in Reykjavik, Iceland. While everybody will be leaving shortly after the cruise ends, Kim and I are renting a car and spending three weeks driving the Ring Road around Iceland. Iceland has been high on our bucket list for some time, so we are really looking forward to this trip! Below is our Google Map. Hopefully I can keep up with the posting on this trip, but with all the activities we have planned while traveling with a group of 10, that may prove difficult. I’m also not entirely sure how good the internet will be on the ship as well as some of the more remote parts of Iceland. Stay tuned!
